Transport Manager CPC

Transport Managers within the haulage industry, play a key role ensuring the vehicles operate safely and legally. In order to demonstrate competence TMs must be suitably qualified and be able to demonstrate Continuous Professional Development whilst they stand as the person who is required to ensure "continuous and effective management" within the haulage business.

Our Transport Manager CPC courses are designed to give you the knowledge and skills necessary to become a certified Transport Manager.

Operator Awareness (OLAT)

For new or exsting operators, all signatories to the GV79 (now the VOL), agreeing to the 11 undertakings with the Traffic Commissioner need reassure themselves of their obligations and refresh their knowledge with respect to running a haulage business.

Owner drivers, partners, and company directors need to demonstrate to the authorities of their continuous professional development, and assure the OTC and the DVSA that they understand their role and responsibilities when it comes to managing a haulage business within the UK and abroad.

Transport Manager Refresher

Transport Managers are required to keep their knowledge and skillset fresh and up to date, by demonstrating Continuous Professional Development.

Both our friends at the DVSA, and Traffic Commissioners within the UK like Transport Managers within a business to refresh their skills on at least a quintennial basis, make of the changes that occur within the industry, and demonstrate competence on a regular basis.

Both the DVSA and the OTC make regular requests for such proof at periodic intervals, when new applications or Major Change requests have been submitted to the CLO, or where an operator has been refered to the OTC.

Our TM Refresher course is designed to give existing TMs the necessary knowledge and skills to show CPD and continue exercising a high level of compliance.

Traffic Office

Supervisors and controllers within any Traffic Office need to be aware of the rules and regulations as they apply to drivers whilst operating vehicles that come under the operator's licence. It is therefore essential that all traffic office staff who manage a driver's time have a thorough understanding of the driver's hours rules and regulations to ensure compliance, and avoid difficult conversations with enforcement agencies.
